Thank you all for trying to help i really appriciate it this current problem has happened several times, recently.
this problem just happened again today, 03/30/05 (7 hours and 23 minutes spinning away at 99%), and the date on the last log file was three months ago. it has with other types of errors, however since the program never actually has an "error" i don't think it registers that it screwed up. I haven't tried it yet (not enough time lately) but i hope to soon (maybe the weekend)Ģ) check the hardware and software set up with something like Nero Info Tools.Įxcuse my ignorance, but what am i supposed to learn from this? it just seemed to tell me what i already know, my system specs and that i'm using nero. short answer, yes i think so.ġ) completely uninstall and reinstall the said softwares. then i found out that it got old and had a fit trying to find a replacement (before i discovered this forum) but now because of that, i'm obsessive over having the current version of my various softwares. I know you said you use other software, but do you have the most current versions?Īnswer: I also started w/ dvdxcopy. Then I updated and it stopped doing that. Squizzle When I first started burning I used DVD X Copy and the version I used did that on quite a few movies. Wild77 Where are you having the problems?what program is open when it stops? I also seem to get a lot of cyclical redundancy errors on the ones that do workĭvd decryptor, dvd shrink or nero (does it for both)ĭoesn't just happen on back-ups, also happens with data disc's i get used to it working right then bam 4hr burn. it wasn't a big deal the first time (hey, computers glitch sometimes right?) but now out of a pack of 100 verbatim dvd-r's i have 15+ coasters (quit counting at 15) the weird part is, it never seems to happen twice in a row. Second, help!!! please!!! over the course of burning dvd's occasionally i'd get a disc that would screw up (don't we all) but recently my burner has began to get stuck at different %'s completed (most comonly 99%)and it doesn't seem to notice, it just keeps going, and going, and going, (you get the idea) sometimes i'll put a disc in and walk away, forget it's in there, come back 8+hrs later and i swear i can smell plastic burning a.k.a ozone smell (maybe just my imagination) to get it to stop i must turn off power to the burner, use ctl+alt+delete to end the burning program, turn on power to burner, hit eject. (just never bothered to register to say thanx) First of all i want to thank everyone that has helped me with no input on my part thru this forum.
